"I don’t know why I am telling you this”

One of my teachers uses the phrase “the resource of fame.” 

It’s the idea that visibility, which makes introverted, sensitive types want to hide, can be wielded as a powerful tool. A tool that connects us with people who will love – who NEED – the skills and gifts we want to share. 

Being visible starts with being brave about what you want. Saying it messily but saying it out loud to someone who you believe can hear you and help you. Be famous in a personal way – see yourself as worthy of elevated support. Worthy of having your own dream team. 

Visibility also means being vulnerable. Like that iconic photo of Ariana Grande gently holding Cynthia Erivo’s finger during a press conference. That moment was about showing up: gifted, accomplished, hugely successful, and also naked (emotionally speaking). Letting the world see that their humanity does not dim the light of their work.

There is a shift happening in personal evolution. 

One that asks you to go a little deeper, and ask for a lot more. 

“I don’t know why I am telling you this,” said a client the other day. But I knew why. The personal story she was talking about is fuel for the passion she’s working to scale into her six-figure business.
